Support Pastor Michael Kuzin and his family in Ukraine

Pastor Michael (Mykhailo in Ukrainian) is a senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Cherkasy in central Ukraine. As a young pastor he is the father of 5 children, 4 of whom are adopted. During their lifetime Pastor Michael and his father’s family opened their homes to 20 orphans that are pictured above.

Despite the challenges that come with raising a large and diverse family, Pastor Michael and his wife Lena managed to create a loving and supportive home. They emphasized the importance of faith, compassion, love, and acceptance, ensuring each child felt valued and cherished.

"I believe that there is no better and more obvious way to explain what the grace is, God's loving heart, His feelings, and attitude toward every person in the world than to make it through the example of relationships built between family members with children who were 'born by heart". Every time I see in my children some kind of lie, trickery, or resentment toward a neighbor, I remind myself that I look exactly the same in the eyes of my heavenly Father”.
- says pastor Michael.

Pastor Michael lost a well-paid job right after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, because as a self-supporting pastor he was given a choice: either go to the United States (where the head office is located) and work there, or - "goodbye" was the second option.

Of course, he couldn't leave his church, where he was elected to be the senior pastor in 2020 in the time of hardships. So, he took that second option and lost his income but not God's mercy.

Since Russian invasion in February of 2022 many of the church members left but Pastor Michael’s team is doing an outstanding job.

“Our church team is diverse. Some are 29 years old while others are over 65. But we have agreed to Love one another with brotherly affection and outdo one another in showing honor”

Besides, First Baptist Church of Cherkasy has been a place of help and comfort to many displaced people who lost everything due to Russian invasion into Ukraine.

“I am grateful to God for each one of those people who, even without knowing me personally, still decide to support me with their donations.
