Support Pastor Valentin and his family in Ukraine
Pastor Valentin Lupashko was ordained as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odessa Region, in 2022—the same year nearly 11 million people fled Ukraine following the Russian invasion. Yet his calling to ministry began earlier, in 2019. Drawing on his professional training as an architect, Valentin designed and later oversaw the construction of a new church campus.
In God’s providence, the building was completed and opened just three days before the invasion began. This timing proved critical. The facility quickly became a hub of ministry—launching what became the largest feeding program in southern Ukraine and serving as a place of refuge for those affected by the war.
“For nearly five years of war, the doors of our church have remained constantly open. We have rediscovered one simple biblical truth: to serve God means to serve people,” said Pastor Valentin.
Under his leadership, the church has baptized nearly 200 individuals and provided care to thousands. In addition to shepherding his local congregation, Valentin now serves as an overseer of 11 church plants throughout the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region.
He and his wife, Nadia, are raising three children.
